What the fuck is BlobCo?
Introducing the Hudson Valley's leader in leisure enablement and optimization

Greetings Discerning Consumers,
BlobCo Co-Founder Rob Lubow here. As the title of this email states, you’re probably wondering, “What the fuck is BlobCo?”
Well, here’s some lore.
At the beginning of last year, my husband, Blake, and I had a plan to open a business and were presented with an opportunity that was real enough to justify incorporating an LLC, but ultimately fell through. The creative energy unleashed by those two and a half months of manic scheming needed to be channeled into something productive, and so I decided to get involved with the Rosendale Theatre.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the privilege of programming dozens of screenings, including fourteen(!!) entries in my WTF Wednesday series, which only launched in October.
While I love the Rosendale Theatre (and as a member of the Board of Directors, have a fiduciary responsibility to ensure the continued success of the organization), there are things you just can't do as a representative of a non-profit… like make money.
That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce BlobCo, a for-profit, venue-agnostic, event production company founded by my husband, (Bl)ake, and me, R(ob).
While we’re still in the process of spinning up a website and branding, as well as a Pog-based loyalty program, we’re hitting the ground running with a bunch of super dope screenings over the next few weeks.

Saturday, August 2 at 7:30pm @ The Rosendale Theatre

Hudson Valley Pole and BlobCo are thrilled to present, Even Dirtier Dancing – A Catskill Coded Abortion Access Fundraiser, featuring a live pole-dancing show, followed by a screening of one of the most beloved, and unapologetically pro-abortion access movies of all time, Dirty Dancing!
Join us starting at 7:30 for a stunning showcase from some of the Hudson Valley’s hottest performers, including Leggy Meg, Lady Honeybee, Debi, Megabeth, and Wicked Red, as they get Baby out of the corner, and onto the pole!

Note: Tipping the performers is not required but would be appreciated. You can include a tip when you purchase your ticket, or tip with cash or Venmo at the show.

Baby (Jennifer Grey) is one listless summer away from the Peace Corps. Hoping to enjoy her youth while it lasts, she’s disappointed when her summer plans deposit her at a sleepy resort in the Catskills with her parents. Her luck turns around, however, when the resort’s dance instructor, Johnny (Patrick Swayze), enlists Baby as his new partner, and the two fall in love. Baby’s father forbids her from seeing Johnny, but she’s determined to help him perform the last big dance of the summer.
WTF Wednesday: Roar
Wed., August 13 at 7:30pm @ The Rosendale Theatre

PG | Family Adventure Comedy | 1 Hour 35 Minutes | $10.00 General Admission/$6.00 Members
WTF Wednesday returns with the most anxiety inducing, PG rated, family adventure movie of all time, ROAR!
“It’s like Walt Disney went insane and shot a snuff version of Swiss Family Robinson”
An unprecedented – and wholly unpredictable – action-adventure, ROAR follows wildlife preservationist Hank (‘The Exorcist’ producer Noel Marshall in his sole and career-derailing turn as an actor and director), who lives harmoniously alongside a menagerie of 100+ untamed animals, including cheetahs, elephants, lions and tigers on a preservation in the African plains. When his wife and children arrive (real-life wife Tippi Hedren, ‘The Birds,’ and step-daughter Melanie Griffith, ‘Working Girl’) for a visit, a long-brewing battle for dominance between the lions erupts and threatens their very lives.
“Like watching a live action Lion King as Mufasa holds a switchblade to your throat”
Come early for the preshow starting at 7pm!
Kid Friendly Outdoor Screening
Thursday, August 21 @ LYE Parklet

Thanks for reading! We’re extremely excited to get this battle station fully operational and to share some more details about our plans soon.
We’re gearing up to take some really wild swings. Will any of them land? Who knows! But I can assure you this, it’s going to be a fun little adventure we’ll all go on together.
Xoxo,
Your friends at BlobCo
